Sergey Mityagin was born on October 7, 1946.

Member of the Board of the Union of Architects of Russia (St. Petersburg branch).

Member of the International Academy of Sciences on Safety and Ecology.

Member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Author of more than 300 scientific, scientific-methodological and design works in the field of urban development.

Trained more than 300 certified urban planner architects, 60 urban cadastral engineers, 40 economist-managers, 10 candidates of architecture.

Awards: RAACS Medal named after People's Architect of the Russian Federation A.V. Kuzmin (2025), RAACS Gold Medal for the urban plan of the Anapa city (2022), Silver Medal of the USSR VDNKh, certificates of the USSR State Civil Construction, gratitude from the Governor and Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg.
