ICON-LA-International Landscape Architecture Conference in St. Petersburg was dedicated to problems of creating a comfortable urban environment. The conference discussed a range of questions, such as the importance of applying the principles of ecological design, climate change and the associated risks to green spaces.

The purpose of this conference was to answer the question – what is the vision of the urban comfortable environment in the early 21st century and what urban, architectural, sociological and environmental principles have been used in different countries?

Conference subthemes:

Sustainable development and a comfortable urban environment. Principles and strategies

Ecological design, climate change and green spaces. Risks and solutions.

NII PG director Sergey Mityagin took part in the conference with a report “The role of the green framework of the city in the planning organization of the territory”.
