The anniversary XXX International Festival of Architecture "Zodchestvo 2022" is an event of international dimension which provides a unique opportunity to get an insight into the current state of architecture and urban planning in Russia. This is the only and the largest exhibit space, where you can simultaneously see the results of the architectural and urban planning of many cities and regions, creative architectural ensembles, design institutes, workshops and offices, young groups, students of architecture schools and faculties, children's architectural and artistic groups.
“Zodchestvo” has been taking place annually since 1993. The Festival is organized by the Union of Architects of Russia under the auspices of the International Union of Architects.
The main objective of the Festival is to demonstrate the achievements of Russian architects, to enhance architecture, and to bring attention to this profession. Over the years the international professional community, the authorities responsible for the architectural and urban planning policy, and the public have become the main targets of the Festival.
This year NII PG with the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Krasnodar Region have presented the Krasnodar region with main projects of master plans for Krasnodar, Anapa, Gelendzhik, land-use planning scheme of the Krasnodar Region, concepts for development Novoznamensky district of 3000 hectares area in Krasnodar and Pionersky prospect in Anapa.

The exposition was awarded the Gold Sign in the nomination "Urban Environment and Complex Urban Projects".
NII PG delegation headed by Sergey Mityagin and Pavel Spirin attended the Festival and took part in a round table "New Horizons of Domestic Urban Development" organized by the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS).

The possibility of creating harmonious cities and a comfortable urban environment, the environmental guidelines of modern urban planning and eco-technologies of urban planning were discussed by Sergey Mityagin.
The main priority in the economic and spatial development of Russia is the Asia-Pacific region. Siberia and the Far East should become drivers of the country's development, platforms for the implementation of transport and logistics, industrial and other projects. One of the ambitious projects is a creation of a new satellite city of Vladivostok which will become a new outpost of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region. Pavel Spirin told about the approaches to new city creation. During the discussion all experts have come to the conclusion that the Far East becoming a driver of the country's development in the new geopolitical conditions is considered as a platform for the implementation of transport and logistics, industrial and recreational projects.
