The urban plan for the City of Novodvinsk of the Arkhangelsk region was approved by Resolution of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of the Arkhangelsk Region dated May 24, 2023 No. 18-p.
Analysis of the socio-economic situation, dynamics of economic and demographic indicators, trends in the development of the territory, existing federal, regional and municipal programs has determined the following strategic goals by the estimated date:
1. Creating a comfortable and safe environment.
2. Improving the quality of life of the population through the development of urban infrastructure.
3. Taking measures to limit the negative impact of economic and other activities on the environment.
4. Ensuring the protection and rational use of natural resources.
5. Development of physical culture and sports facilities.
6. Improving the quality of communication of the public telephone network.
7. Expansion of multimedia services provided to the population, including the Internet.
8. Improving the quality and accessibility of medical care.
9. Development of measures (economic, financial, tax) to increase the attractiveness of the city for domestic and foreign investment.
10. Development of forest and health tourism.
11. Creation and improvement of a centralized gas supply system.
It is planned to reconstruct the City Park and expand the Children's Park, build a forestry and health tourism facility, the Mechka Tourist Complex, which includes a cable car, a ski center, and a rope park.
In order to improve the transport infrastructure in the urban district the document proposes to reconstruct existing sections and construct new sections of the road network.
