The All-Russian conference "Architectural Education in Russia at the Current Stage" will be held at the HSE School of Design in St. Petersburg on May 15-16.
The conference will focus on key changes in Russia's architectural education system. Over the past decades, it has evolved from a unified state model to a more flexible and variable structure.
The program will include discussions of current educational practices, innovative teaching methods, pre-university training, and the use of neural networks and digital tools in architectural education. Conference participants will include leading representatives of the architectural and urban planning community, faculty from specialized universities, practicing architects, and urban planners from across the country.
On the second day of the conference, May 16, Pavel Spirin, NII PG Director, RAACS Academician, Head of the Urban Planning Department at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, will report about problems and solutions in the training of architects and urban planners.
The presentation will focus on contemporary challenges in training architects and urban planners, adapting educational programs to industry requirements, and finding effective models for professional training.
